Jazz

Served as a member of Ohio University's premier big band under the direction of Matthew James, DMA (University of North Texas), maintaining continuous membership in the ensemble since 2022 and holding the lead alto saxophone chair from the spring of 2023 to fall of 2025. Musical collaborations included John Fedchock, Jocelyn Gould, Doug Davis, Moises Alves, Tito Carrillo, Pete Mills, Bryan Olsheski, and Shawn Wallace. Participated in four multi-state jazz tours spanning Ohio, West Virginia, and Kentucky, engaging professionally with dozens of high school, middle school, collegiate, and community jazz ensembles. Recognized as an outstanding performer with Ohio University Jazz Ensemble 1 and awarded First Prize at the 2024 California State University Bakersfield Doug Davis Endowment, an honor accompanied by a $4,000 award for the OU Jazz Program. Significant woodwind doubling experience within the ensemble on flute, clarinet, piccolo, soprano saxophone, and tenor saxophone.
